We like to socialize, can we all sit together?
YES! As you see from the photo gallery there is ample space for additional tables to be configured. In addition, the adjacent space that provides additional table space is easily within talking distance. There are several other options to set up additional spaces.
Are there stairs to navigate?
Yes. There are stairs to the lower level of the home, which is where the retreat space is located. However, once you have unloaded into the lower level, you would not have to ascend the stairs until the end of your stay, since the bedrooms, kitchen and living spaces are located on the same level.
We would like to come Thursday- Sunday. Is that an option?
Yes. Use this retreat registration form to inquire on specific requests. Additional fees would apply to an additional day. (see Rates)
Are you (the owners/hosts) around all the time?
Prairie Wind is a Bed & Breakfast, and so the hosts live in an area of the home. We will greet you, assist you in getting settled, demonstrate tools and equipment, and then we will leave you to enjoy your weekend together. You may seek our assistance at any time. Since the retreat center is on the lower level, our interactions are minimal. Since there is an exit stairway from the lower level to the exterior you may come and go without our notice. Anyone using the guest bedroom on the main level will probably “bump” into us more. The living room and dining room, on the main level, are considered “common” spaces and may be used by guests.
How do we book a midweek retreat?
Midweek retreat are available. Please inquire on the contact form to inquire about specific dates.
Do we need to bring our own towels or paper plates, etc.?
Towels and linens are provided and changed daily. The kitchen is supplied with utensils and service for 10, as well as basic mixing/serving dishes and paper supplies. Click here to find what is provided by Prairie Wind B&B and Retreat Center. Please make inquiries if you are looking for a specific need, since our main floor kitchen has a broad array of supplies and equipment and may be made available to use.
